Controller / Finance Director Job Duties: 

• Lead a team in the timely and accurate GL closing. Generate required financial reports, including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statements to ensure compliance with (GAAP)
• Oversee all finance activities, including financial and business plan development; business policies and accounting practices; and preparation, review and analysis of financial reports
• Lead the annual budgeting process and ensure timely, accurate and complete budget preparation
• Oversee the accounting team and serve as a strategic business leader for organizational growth
• Successfully collaborate cross-functionally to prepare and update financial forecasts as needed or directed
• Participate in developing and implementing strategic plans
• Establish key financial performance metrics and provide a strong analytical background to analyze growth potential
• Evaluate and monitor all investment decisions based on required payback and ROI
• Monitor company expenditures to ensure budgetary compliance and investigate opportunities for cost reductions
• Direct annual financial audit and perform internal audits of operations
• Establish customer credit terms and ensure timely payment of all AP
• Work with President/COO to develop, update and monitor sales commissions and other employee performance incentive plans
• Maintain accurate records of the company’s fixed assets and inventory
• Determine labor and overhead burden rates used for product pricing
• Assist the company’s CPA’s in the preparation and submittal of required federal, state and local income tax returns
• Ensure the timely filing of required business licenses and maintain accurate accounting of partner cash and tax distributions
• Oversee administrative functions including order processing, billing and collections, and payroll processing.  Identify and implement process efficiencies
• Coordinate with IT and Accounting Manager to ensure ERP system updates and backups
• Special projects as needed

Controller / Finance Director Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, CPA and/or public accounting background required
• Previous leadership managing an accounting/finance team
• Experience with ERP systems along with Excel proficiency
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Excellent analytical, teamwork, and leadership skills
• Strong planning and organization skills
