Job Description
This growing real estate-related client has asked for our assistance in identifying a new VP/Corporate Controller given internal job movement and creation. This professional will need to be a hands-on leader and will inherit a strong team of managers, seniors and staff to mentor and develop. Assisting in all areas of corporate accounting including consolidations, complex accounting issues, financial reporting and more, this employer offers a flexible hybrid work schedule, beautiful offices in Tampa Bay, a supportive executive team and lots of professional growth! The right hire will be a CPA with strong audit and accounting experience, proven supervisory experience and quality communication skills.

- Salary target $150,000-$200,000 plus additional bonus potential
Corporate Controller Job Duties:
- Determine accounting implications of complex transactions including acquisitions and integration; research, develop conclusions and implement results
- Lead and develop a strong Corporate Accounting team
- Administer audit and compliance matters
- Identify recommendations for improvements in corporate accounting processes and procedures
- Collaborate with various internal business partners, providing guidance as needed
- Responsible for understanding and managing complex periodic income allocation and consolidation process
- Assist in the onboarding of acquisitions and disposition and closure of properties being sold
- Special projects
Corporate Controller Skills/Qualifications:
- Multifamily real estate experience required
- Bachelor’s in Accounting and CPA required
- Strong leadership experience
- Strong working knowledge of and ability to apply GAAP
- Experience in partnership and joint venture accounting and reporting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and confidence to interact with a strong executive team
- Organized, detailed and quality skills with multi purposing and prioritization
- Proficient computer skills including strong Excel
