We are conducting a search for a Staff Accountant to join a top performing team for a publicly traded Fortune 500 company. This position is a key member of a team responsible for the month end close process, preparation of account reconciliations, explanation of trial balance variances, financial reporting, light financial analysis and metrics, and more.

- Highly competitive compensation of $72,000 - $80,000, plus bonus potential!
Staff Accountant Job Duties:
- Calculate accruals and prepare journal entries during month end close
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for quarterly and annual financial reports
- Become a subject matter expert for key accounting areas
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations and investigate reconciling items
- Present fluctuation analyses and explanations at controller meetings during financial close
- Work with controller teams to ensure proper accounting treatment
- Maintain proper internal controls processes and documentation
- Special projects, as needed
Staff Accountant Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA certification or eligible & pursuing needed; Master’s Degree preferred
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience required
- Audit experience or strong industry accounting experience
- Experience with financial reporting or month end close with public company a plus
- Strong technical skills, including Excel and large ERP system knowledge
- Superb communications skills required
