Land Analyst Job Duties:

• Develop and maintain financial models to support cost-benefit analyses and investment evaluations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and budget-compliant project deliverables
• Monitor and report on project financial performance, generating dashboards and regular update
• Identify and implement strategies to mitigate project risks and issues
• Prepare comprehensive financial summaries and variance reports for senior management and stakeholders
• Engage in meetings and presentations, providing financial insights to support decision-making
• Conduct thorough financial analyses to determine project feasibility and profitability
• Coordinate with finance and project management teams to develop accurate budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
• Track and analyze project expenses, identifying variances and cost-saving opportunities
• Communicate financial risks, insights, and recommendations effectively to all stakeholders
• Forecast project financials, tracking actual expenses against projections
• Special projects as assigned

Land Analyst Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field
• Over 2 years of experience in financial analysis within the land development industry
• Proven experience in financial analysis, project management, or a related field
• Strong analytical skills with expertise in financial modeling, cost analysis, and risk assessment
• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software/tools
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of operational processes and the ability to identify areas for improvement
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• High ethical standards, integrity, honesty, and a sense of humor
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong planning and organization skills and understanding of the importance of deadlines
