Land Analyst Job Duties:
- Develop and maintain financial models to support cost-benefit analyses and investment evaluations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and budget-compliant project deliverables
- Monitor and report on project financial performance, generating dashboards and regular update
- Identify and implement strategies to mitigate project risks and issues
- Prepare comprehensive financial summaries and variance reports for senior management and stakeholders
- Engage in meetings and presentations, providing financial insights to support decision-making
- Conduct thorough financial analyses to determine project feasibility and profitability
- Coordinate with finance and project management teams to develop accurate budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
- Track and analyze project expenses, identifying variances and cost-saving opportunities
- Communicate financial risks, insights, and recommendations effectively to all stakeholders
- Forecast project financials, tracking actual expenses against projections
- Special projects as assigned
Land Analyst Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field
- Over 2 years of experience in financial analysis within the land development industry
- Proven experience in financial analysis, project management, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in financial modeling, cost analysis, and risk assessment
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software/tools
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of operational processes and the ability to identify areas for improvement
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- High ethical standards, integrity, honesty, and a sense of humor
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong planning and organization skills and understanding of the importance of deadlines
