$100-115k plus 10% annual bonus

Primary Job Responsibilities for this Corporate Accounting Manager: 

• Be an excellent people leader to your team – supervise, provide coaching and feedback, balance workload
• Lead month end close process to ensure timely and accurate close
• Oversee the financial reporting process for quarterly and annual financial statements
• Partner with department heads to understand transactions and arrangements, to proactively ensure proper accounting treatment
• Research technical accounting issues, prepare documentation, and apply findings
• Provide accounting guidance on significant transactions, acquisitions, and divestitures
• Ensure strong internal controls compliance and documentation
• Encourage process improvements and automation within the team, and lead execution of such initiatives
• Draft disclosures and prepare supporting documentation for external filings
• Serve as global business partner to other functions within finance as well as outside of finance
• Act as primary point of contact with external and internal auditors

Education: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar required
• Active CPA license required
• Masters preferred, such as Masters in Accounting (MAcc) or Masters of Business Administration (MBA)

Professional Experience and Qualifications: 

• 5+ years of professional accounting experience required
• Strong team leader with experience reviewing work of lighter team members
• Audit experience with a public accounting firm strongly preferred
• Corporate accounting experience with large public company a plus
• Strong foundation of GAAP knowledge, and ability to research technical issues and apply your findings
• Team player, collaborative personality, and an innovator!
• Ability to work in fast paced environment and make quality decisions with a sense of urgency
• Experience with automation and data visualization tools preferred
• Proficient with financial systems (SAP and/or HFM a plus) as well as Excel (required)
