Accounting Manager – Special Projects Benefits and Compensation:

Accounting Manager – Special Projects Job Duties: 

• Evaluate current accounting and reporting process to identify opportunities for automation
• Assist with the creation of a plan for transformation initiatives
• Lead experienced team members, provide coaching and support, and clearly establish priorities
• Interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure progress and clear obstacles that arise
• Track open items and issue resolution, report on metrics quantifying the impact of completed initiatives
• Become a subject matter expert for your area and offer guidance to others as need
• Research technical accounting matters as relates to special projects to ensure alignment with guidance and best practices
• Work with internal and external auditors as needed
• Serve as global business partner to other functions within finance as well as outside of finance

Accounting Manager – Special Projects Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar required
• Active CPA license required
• 5+ years of professional accounting experience required
• Strong team leader with experience coaching staff and reviewing work
• Mix of public accounting and corporate accounting experience a plus
• Strong foundation of GAAP knowledge and proficiency using financial systems and tools to be efficient
• Team player, collaborative personality, and an innovator!
• Experience with automation and data visualization tools preferred
• Proficient with financial systems (SAP and/or HFM a plus) as well as Excel (required)
