We’re looking for detail oriented Accounts Payable Specialists to support a fast-paced, accuracy driven finance team. This role is fully onsite and designed for those who thrive in collaborative environments. This person will join a team that values precision, clear communication, and a strong sense of urgency. The work involves structured processes that require consistency and accountability. You’ll handle daily invoice activity with a focus on accuracy and timely completion. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy teamwork and take pride in clean financial results. Successful completion of background, drug, and reference checks required!
Responsibilities:
- Handle phone and email inquiries from vendors and internal locations.
- Enter invoices with correct vendor, site, and coding information.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and verify appropriate approvals.
- Research and resolve aged payables and outstanding debit items.
- Process time-sensitive invoices to prevent service issues.
- Execute weekly payment cycles and prioritize items tied to early-pay benefits.
- Prepare accruals for received goods and services during month-end close.
- Monitor workflow queues and resolve exceptions, duplicates, and corrections.
- Clear on-hold invoices to maintain timely payment flow.
- Review and code higher-value purchase-card transactions.
- Reconcile AP schedules quarterly to maintain accuracy.
- Complete additional tasks that support department needs.
Requirements:
- High volume AP experience required.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to established processes.
- Ability to work with urgency and meet deadlines consistently.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Understanding of invoice routing, approvals, and basic accrual concepts.
- Comfortable with spreadsheets and routine reconciliations.
- Quick learner with the ability to absorb operational context.
