Job Description
Controller | $150 - $175k + Bonus
Location: Denver, CO | Hybrid Setting | Full-Time
We’re looking for an experienced finance and accounting professional to help lead key initiatives and build infrastracture in a fast-paced, PE-backed evolving environment. This role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to operational improvements, system implementations, and strategic decision-making. If you bring strong technical expertise and a proactive mindset, we’d love to connect. The ideal candidate for this position will own full-cycle accounting, finance, reporting & treasury, while partnering directly with C-suite and PE owners. What You'll Do:
- Lead all aspects of monthly close, budgeting, and forecasting with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and strategic insight
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of financial statements and management reports that inform executive decision-making
- Manage treasury operations, including cash flow planning, banking relationships, and liquidity optimization
- Drive audit readiness in advance of the company’s external financial audit
- Play a role in the company’s ERP implementation, coordinating with external PMO and other project team leads
- Support acquisition integration efforts, including financial onboarding and systems alignment
- Build and scale a high-performing finance team
- Design and implement standardized financial tools, templates, and reporting processes to support scalability and transparency
- Partner closely with the CEO and PE sponsors to align financial strategy with business objectives
- Provide financial leadership across cross-functional initiatives, including operations, technology, and strategic planning
- Establish and maintain a robust internal control environment to support compliance and risk mitigation
- Act as a key voice in strategic discussions, offering financial perspective on growth initiatives, capital allocation, and performance improvement
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, MBA preferred
- CPA and/or public accounting experience a plus
- 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership
- Demonstrated ability to support special projects and optimize processes
- Familiarity with distribution or service-based billing models preferred
- Experience in dynamic, investor-supported organizations highly beneficial
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities
- High level of initiative, ownership, and precision in execution
