Staff Accountant
Job Description
Staff Accountant | Up to $60K
Location: Pinellas County, FL | On-Site | Full-Time
One of our top clients—known for its exceptional culture, strong leadership, and growth mindset—is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its expanding accounting team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain visibility, contribute to a centralizing department, and grow your career in a supportive and professional environment. Background and reference checks will be required.
What You’ll Do:
- Process and record financial transactions in compliance with internal policies
- Manage invoicing and credit transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain fixed asset records and conduct annual audits
- Perform account reconciliations and financial analysis
- Handle monthly accruals, prepaid amortization, depreciation, and journal entries
- Prepare and review departmental budget variance reports
- Assist in generating financial statements and performance summaries
- Support year-end close and budget analysis activities
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required
- 2+ years of professional accounting experience
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs required)
- Experience working across multiple systems simultaneously
- Inventory accounting experience is a plus
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
