Senior Manager Job Duties:

• Lead the development of cost control systems, standard costing, and financial analysis.
• Serve as a key technical accounting resource, leading research on complex accounting and reporting issues, including those related to foreign currency transactions, goodwill impairment testing, and equity-based compensation.
• Consult with business leaders and finance teams to assess the accounting and financial reporting implications of complex transactions and develop appropriate guidance.
• Prepare and review technical accounting memos and position papers for executive leadership and external auditors.
• Communicate and train stakeholders on new accounting standards and emerging financial reporting regulations.
• Direct and oversee the preparation and review of external financial reports, including SEC filings such as 10-Qs, 10-Ks, earnings releases, and 8-Ks.
• Lead interactions with external auditors, ensuring smooth coordination on technical accounting matters.
• Assess and enhance internal controls related to financial reporting and complex accounting areas.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, helping to build expertise in technical accounting and research.
• Strong knowledge of accounting for foreign currency transactions, goodwill and intangible assets, and stock-based compensation.

Senior Manager Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. MBA preferred
• CPA certification req. and Big 4 public accounting highly preferred
• 7+ years of experience handling technical research and public reporting
• Must possess strong GAAP knowledge
• SEC reporting exp. required and the ability to handle complex technical accounting issues
• Advanced Excel experience required
• Prior experience with a large ERP system
• Ability to meet strict deadlines, both independently and as part of a team
• Detail oriented and the ability to deliver work products with a high degree of accuracy
• Strong verbal and written skills, and the ability to convey complex information
• Attention to detail, able to learn quickly, ask questions, document processes
