Job Description
Controller | $135K–$160K + Bonus + Fantastic Benefits
Location: Tampa Bay Area | On-Site | Full-Time

What You’ll Do:
- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual group reporting
- Book complex transactions (e.g., purchase accounting, restructuring)
- Research GAAP/FASB principles and collaborate with auditors and tax accountants
- Lead budgeting and forecasting across departments
- Analyze variances and recommend controls
- Build financial models for breakeven, cash flow, ROI, and capital expenditures
- Prepare financial statements for internal and external use
- Oversee annual audit and tax filings (income, sales, property)
- Serve as primary contact for banking relationships
- Participate in M&A and growth initiatives
- Own and update accounting department standard work and processes
- Supervise all accounting functions including AP, AR, payroll, GL, and reconciliations
- Lead and develop the accounting team, including hiring and performance management
- Support additional projects as needed
What You Bring:
- CPA (required)
- Public accounting experience (preferred)
- Several years of experience as a Controller in a complex manufacturing environment
- Inventory/costing experience
- Experience with change management and/or high-growth environments (preferred)
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- FP&A exposure with the ability to present financial insights to leadership
- Comfortable with both hands-on work and delegation
