VP Corporate Controller

VP Corporate Controller | $165k–$200k + 35% Bonus + Equity Potential (salary commensurate with experience)
Location: Tampa, FL | Full-Time | On-Site
A high-growth, PE-backed organization is seeking a VP Corporate Controller to lead its accounting and reporting functions. This is a transformative leadership role for a change agent with deep expertise in technical accounting, GAAP, intercompany processes, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of public and private experience, a passion for process improvement, and the ability to drive strategic change across the finance organization.
What You’ll Do
- Lead all corporate accounting functions, including technical accounting, GAAP compliance, and intercompany activity.
- Oversee financial reporting and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with regulatory standards.
- Drive transformation initiatives and process improvements across accounting operations.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls and compliance frameworks.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage audit processes and relationships with external auditors.
- Lead special projects related to system upgrades, policy changes, and organizational growth.
- Supervise and manage team
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA strongly preferred).
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with a mix of public (Big 4 or National CPA firm) and private company exposure.
- Proven track record as a change agent—leading transformation and process improvement initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, technical accounting, and intercompany processes.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in dynamic, growth-oriented companies.
