Fund Controller
Job Description
Fund Controller – Private Equity Real Estate
Location: Fully Remote
Compensation: $120,000–$160,000 base + Bonus (15–20% target) + Equity Potential + Full Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision, 401K)
We’re partnering with a mission-driven, entrepreneurial firm to find a Fund Controller who will lead financial reporting across a diverse portfolio of private equity real estate funds and corporate entities. This is a hands-on leadership role with broad exposure to institutional-quality assets and high-growth tech ventures.
Role Overview:
• Oversee fund accounting, consolidations, and investor reporting across multiple entities.
• Manage tax coordination (including K-1s and bonus depreciation) and audit processes.
• Serve as the primary financial liaison for auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and senior leadership.
• Collaborate with asset management and operations teams to ensure financial alignment with fund goals.
What You Bring:
• 7–10 years of experience in private equity real estate accounting.
• Deep understanding of fund structures, including GP/LP relationships, waterfall models, and consolidations.
• CPA preferred.
• Proficiency with investor reporting platforms and Yardi.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; able to work independently and manage ambiguity.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):
• Experience with vertically integrated firms (property management, development, asset management).
• Familiarity with platforms like Juniper Square, MRI, or Investran.
• Background in asset management or exposure to acquisitions, refinances, and dispositions.
• Knowledge of hospitality, office, and multifamily sectors.
