Accounting Manager | Up to $120k + Bonus Potential | Rapidly Expanding Organization!
Location: Greater Tampa Bay | Hybrid | Local Candidates Only
We’re partnering with a mission driven specialized manufacturing organization known for creating innovations that improve daily life. This search is for a key leadership role within a growing, future focused accounting function. The position will play a pivotal part in strengthening financial operations as the company scales. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to support strategic decision making and operational excellence. The environment is fast paced, collaborative, and built around empowering people. Responsibilities:
- Guide daily accounting workflows and oversee assigned team members.
- Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
- Enhance internal controls and financial processes across the organization.
- Interpret accounting standards and resolve technical accounting matters.
- Prepare documentation and schedules for external auditors.
- Oversee reconciliations, journals, and key financial analyses.
- Partner with cross functional groups to support operational finance needs.
- Monitor variances and help leadership understand performance drivers.
- Support special projects tied to organizational growth and efficiency.
- Mentor staff and support their professional development.
- Oversee AP activities to ensure timely, accurate vendor payments.
- Manage AR billing, collections, and customer account maintenance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance required, CPA or other advanced credential a plus.
- 5+ years of professional corporate accounting experience, including prior supervisory experience.
- Hands-on experience with month end close including accruals, reconciliations, and light analysis.
- Strong command of GAAP and financial control frameworks.
- Experience in manufacturing and/or distribution industry a plus.
- Positive, solutions oriented mindset with strong ownership and communication skills.
