Accounting Manager Job Duties: 

• Oversee full-cycle accounting, including month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
• Review and approve journal entries to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct balance sheet and bank reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
• Monitor and analyze financial transactions for GAAP compliance.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and internal controls.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Supervise and support accounting team members, providing guidance and training.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data.
• Collaborate with external auditors for annual audits and regulatory compliance.
• Manage general ledger accounts and ensure proper classification of transactions.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay updated on accounting regulations and industry best practices.
• Communicate financial insights and recommendations to senior management. 

Accounting Manager Skills/Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA certification required 
• Big 4 public accounting experience required

• 6+ years accounting within a manufacturing/inventory-centric environment  

• Large ERP system required

• Process improvement mindset and someone who wants to maintain a sense of ownership over their work. 

• Solid technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills required. 

• Strong attention to detail and superb communications skills required
