Our international client in Tampa Bay is seeking an accounting professional with leadership skills that is both energetic and driven.  This role will report directly to the CFO, and have high visibility to other key stakeholders.  The company will likely title this role Controller. Accounting Manager Benefits and Compensation: 

• A professional fully remote working environment, some face time with CFO on occasion, must reside in Tampa Bay

 Accounting Manager Job Duties: 

• Verify the precision and reliability of financial data through prompt reconciliation and analysis of accounts.
• Collaborate with accounting team members to streamline reporting procedures and enhance efficiency and adherence to deadlines.
• Conduct the consolidation of financial data from various entities, departments, or programs within the organization.
• Oversee financial systems and software, ensuring proper configuration, maintenance, and utilization to support financial reporting and analysis requirements.
• Supervise and guide accounting personnel, offering direction, training, and assistance to foster their professional development and effectiveness in their roles.
• Generate mandated financial reports and submissions to regulatory bodies and funding sources.
• Aid in budgeting and forecasting procedures by furnishing historical financial data, variance analysis, and insights into financial patterns.
• Prepare customized financial reports and analyses as requested by management.
• Uphold internal controls to protect assets and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Assist in internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and assistance as necessary, ensuring prompt completion of audit obligations.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Accounting Manager Skills/Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, non-profit and/or international experience highly desired.
• Working knowledge of various large ERP systems, advanced Excel required.  
• Strong planning and organization skills and understanding of the importance of deadlines.
• Outstanding communication skills required.
