Job Description
We are conducting a search for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join the team of a private-equity owned, high-growth company. Our client is seeking an experienced contributor with polish, professionalism, and solid corporate AP experience. The right candidate will have a proven ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, dynamic, hyper-growth environment. Focus for the position will be accounts payable processing and vendor communication. The ideal candidate will have a ‘take the ball and run with it’ mentality and require minimal handholding on day-to-day tasks. Our client offers a flexible, almost fully remote environment. Accounts Payable Specialist Benefits and Compensation:
- Flexible, largely remote work environment

- Highly competitive compensation of $50,000 - $55,000 (commensurate with experience)!

Accounts Payable Specialist Job Duties:
- Process invoices and ensure accuracy and completeness
- Own the entire AP process
- Manage vendor relations and maintain positive relationships by communicating effectively and resolving inquiries promptly
- Issue timely payments according to established payment terms and company policies
- Accurately record accounts payable activities in the general ledger
- Perform monthly and adhoc reconciliations of payable accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies
- Investigate and analyze variances
- Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard against fraud and errors
- Assist with month-end closing procedures by ensuring timely and accurate account reconciliation
- Generate reports as needed, providing insights into accounts payable activities
Accounts Payable Specialist Skills/Qualifications:
- 2+ years of accounts payable experience required
- Proficiency in Excel and large ERP system required
- Team player willing to learn new tasks
- Solid critical thinking, analysis, and attention to detail required
- Superb communication skills required
