Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Tampa Bay Area | 100% in-office for first 90 days, then potential 1 day/week remote
Compensation: $19–$23/hour + 5–10% bonus
An excellent opportunity for a dependable, detail oriented professional to join a stable and collaborative team within a fast paced distribution environment. This role focuses on full-cycle accounts payable, vendor coordination, and transactional accounting support. Ideal for someone with AP experience or an office professional looking to grow into the AP function with strong training and development.

What You Will Do
• Process up to 100 invoices weekly, including 3 way match and vendor verification
• Manage AP inbox and respond to vendor inquiries
• Set up new vendors and handle W 9s/1099s and compliance documentation
• Process weekly ACH and check payments
• Reconcile AP ledger, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies
• Generate AP reports and assist with month-end tasks
• Understand purchase order workflows and resolve issues as needed
• Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems
• Support cashier or admin duties when needed
• Participate in required meetings and follow company attendance policies
What You Will Bring
• AP experience preferred; open to administrative professionals eager to be trained
• Strong Excel skills (basic formulas, sort/filter; exposure to pivot tables and VLOOKUPs)
• Experience with ERP systems required; familiarity with Encompass a plus
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
• Dependable, proactive, and comfortable asking questions to ensure accuracy
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Professional integrity, confidentiality, and teamwork skills
