Accounts Receivable Analyst

Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Analyst will manage daily cash deposits, maintain the cash control sheet, and update the accounts receivable ledger. This is an interactive role that will handle customer inquiries, respond to invoice requests, and collaborate across departments to resolve discrepancies. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, an effective communicator, and highly organized. Reference and background/drug screens will be required.

Accounts Receivable Analyst Job Duties:
- Handle A/R cash deposit and lockbox payment application
- Update and reconcile daily cash receipts report
- Review and maintain A/R Aging
- Apply deductions to customer accounts
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies and outstanding credit memos
- Track and apply prepayments, including credit card payments for prepay customers
- Manage and resolve issues related to prepay invoices
- Reconcile and maintain customer ledgers
- Notify customers of past-due amounts
- Address customer requests for account information
- Keep sales representatives informed of customer status regarding past-due issues
- Assist with general accounting tasks, including expense reporting, month-end reporting, and journal entries
Accounts Receivable Analyst Skills/Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of professional accounts receivable experience required
- Microsoft Navision experience a plus
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to handle a high-volume workload
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external communication with customers
- Strong organizational and time management skills
