AR Supervisor
Job Description
Accounts Receivable Supervisor | $80k–$95k| Process Ownership, Team Leadership
Location: Heavy Hybrid | Full-Time
A globally recognized nonprofit organization is seeking an experienced full cycle Accounts Receivable Supervisor to lead its AR operations and support a high-performing finance team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in invoicing, reconciliations, and customer service—someone who thrives in a dynamic, tech-forward environment and enjoys improving processes while mentoring junior staff.
This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple systems and departments, supporting a complex membership-based revenue model. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, independent, and eager to take ownership of AR functions while contributing to broader finance initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
- Supervise AR team members and oversee daily transactions including invoicing, credits, refunds, and ecommerce
- Lead month-end close activities including reconciliations, reporting, and write-offs
- Own AR reconciliation processes, analyze balance changes, and resolve discrepancies
- Manage vendor registration workflows and documentation review
- Maintain and update AR policies and procedures; train internal and external stakeholders
- Reconcile ecommerce, credit card, and bank deposits; investigate integration errors
- Evaluate and manage customer credit lines and process credit applications
- Support CRM and ERP implementations, including testing and documentation
- Oversee shared AR inbox and case system; assign tasks and coach team members
- Approve events based on customer credit and payment status
- Provide high-level customer service across internal teams and external partners
- Serve as delegate for AR Manager when needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in AR or related finance roles (AP, bookkeeping, etc.)
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Experience with Salesforce, Sage Intacct, Stripe, Commerce Tools, or Cvent a plus
- Comfortable working independently and navigating ambiguity
- Detail-oriented, organized, and curious about process improvement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience with ERP implementations and documentation creation
