Internal Auditor
Job Description
We have an incredible opportunity for an experienced audit and compliance professional to join a high-performing manufacturing company with A+ office space and a collaborative, no-ego culture. This Internal Auditor role offers meaningful visibility across the business and the chance to drive real impact by strengthening controls and processes.
Internal Auditor – Benefits and Compensation
- A+ professional office environment (in-office, North Tampa near USF)
• Collaborative, no-ego culture with strong leadership and cross-functional exposure
• Highly competitive salary: $80,000 – $100,000, excellent benefits (salary commensurate with experience)
• Some domestic travel to U.S. manufacturing facilities
Internal Auditor – Job Duties
- Perform SOX compliance testing and evaluate internal controls across financial and operational areas
• Lead walkthroughs and detailed testing of key controls in alignment with SOX 404 requirements
• Assist with design and implementation of internal controls to mitigate financial risks
• Identify control deficiencies, assess risk impact, and work with departments on remediation plans
• Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to support audit readiness
• Support risk assessments and document control narratives and testing procedures
• Partner with Finance, IT, and Operations to strengthen compliance and process efficiency
• Monitor regulatory updates and ensure alignment with evolving standards
• Contribute to ongoing internal audit and compliance projects as needed
Internal Auditor – Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting preferred, Finance considered, CPA, CIA, or CISA is a plus
• 5+ years of experience in audit, internal controls, SOX compliance, or financial reporting
• Strong command of Excel and familiarity with ERP/audit software
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
• Effective communication skills with ability to collaborate across departments
• Detail-oriented with ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Flexibility to travel to U.S. plant locations as needed
