Billing Coordinator

Billing Coordinator | $50K–$57K | Collaborative Team, Career Growth Potential
Location: Greater Tampa Bay Area | Hybrid Schedule | Full-Time
A well-established and rapidly growing organization is expanding its billing operations and seeking a Billing Coordinator to join its high-performing finance team. This role combines invoicing, client interaction, and operational accuracy in a dynamic, team-oriented setting. It’s more than just billing—it’s about driving efficiency, solving problems, and supporting a thriving business.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to grow into a senior or lead role over time. If you're someone who enjoys rolling up your sleeves and making a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you! Successful completion of background (including credit), drug, and reference checks is required.
What You’ll Do:
- Set up billing parameters for new and updated client engagements
- Generate accurate invoices aligned with service agreements and reporting
- Manage recurring billing and contract updates
- Monitor client aging and ensure billing readiness prior to order fulfillment
- Process and validate state tax exemption documentation
- Collaborate with team members to resolve system import issues
- Handle credit and RMA requests, including manual memos
- Troubleshoot and resolve client billing disputes
- Provide proforma invoices and address invoice delivery issues
- Post invoices to external AP portals
- Respond to internal and external inquiries professionally and promptly
- Support month-end close and assist with ad hoc projects
What You Bring:
- Minimum 3 years of billing or AR experience (non-medical)
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- Ability to research and resolve billing issues efficiently
- Growth mindset and desire to advance within the organization
