We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support financial operations within a wonderful, collaborative culture. This role is ideal for a skilled professional who excels in transaction recording, reconciliations, payroll processing, and financial reporting while ensuring accuracy and compliance. As a key part of the team, you will maintain financial records, oversee accounts payable and receivable, and assist with tax-related filings. Beyond accounting, this role will be responsible for providing top-notch client service. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and committed to maintaining financial integrity. Bookkeeper Job Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of financial activities and general ledger updates.
- Review and reconcile financial statements to ensure accuracy.
- Oversee financial obligations, including payments and collections.
- Handle payroll-related tasks while ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Generate periodic financial summaries and reports.
- Assist with necessary filings and ensure adherence to relevant financial guidelines.
- Monitor and reconcile cash disbursements.
- Maintain structured and accurate financial documentation.
- Stay informed on industry standards and support adherence to financial policies.
- Work with relevant parties to support reporting and compliance needs.
- Contribute to internal control measures to safeguard financial integrity.
Bookkeeper Skills / Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Accounting or Business Administration preferred
- 2-5 years in similar position
- Understand the importance of confidentiality
- Strong computer skills with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- QuickBooks experience a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Solid critical thinking and analysis and attention to detail
- Ability to meet strict deadlines, both independently and as part of a team
