CFO | $165K salary, plus discretionary annual bonus
Location: Greater Tampa Bay area | On-Site/Hybrid | Local Candidates Preferred

As CFO, you’ll partner with the CEO and Board to drive strategic decision-making, optimize resources, and safeguard compliance. Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals; advise CEO and Board on key financial decisions; lead long-term planning and forecasting.
- Financial Oversight & Reporting: Direct preparation of accurate financial statements, regulatory filings, and compliance reports; manage cash flow, investments, and capital planning; monitor performance metrics.
- Risk & Compliance Management: Implement strong internal controls; oversee audits and maintain relationships with external auditors; ensure timely tax filings and regulatory compliance.
- Operational Excellence: Lead and mentor the finance team; optimize financial systems and processes; maintain strong relationships with donors, funding agencies, and financial partners.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership on growth initiatives; provide financial insights for fundraising, grants, and donor reporting.
- Analysis & Reporting: Deliver actionable insights through financial analysis; present transparent reports to executive leadership and the Board.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA and/or Master’s degree highly preferred
- 20 or more years of relevant accounting and finance experience with proven professional growth in that timeline
- Nonprofit experience and familiarity with funding agency relationships required
- Strong people and leadership skills
- Strong communication experience and abilities
- Expertise in financial strategy, compliance, risk management
- Proficiency in financial systems and GAAP principles.
