Location: Tampa Metro Area (Relocation Required)

We are seeking a proactive, team-oriented Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team. This is a hands-on executive role with broad responsibilities across finance, accounting, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in complex real estate structures, strong technical expertise, and the ability to lead a high-performing finance team while providing critical insights to drive organizational growth.The CFO will oversee all financial and accounting functions, including investor relations, compliance, budgeting, forecasting, tax strategy, audits, and long-range planning. This position requires a strategic thinker who can also dive into day-to-day details, ensuring timely and accurate reporting for investors, lenders, and regulatory bodies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with the Executive Team on capital raising strategies, business development, and strategic planning.
- Develop tools and systems to deliver actionable financial insights and operational analytics.
- Oversee budgetary planning, cost management, and risk mitigation aligned with long-term goals.
- Ensure GAAP, tax, and regulatory compliance across all finance and accounting functions.
- Manage investor reporting, board packages, and partnership agreements.
- Represent the company with financial institutions, auditors, and key stakeholders.
- Gain a deep understanding of organizational structure and fund strategies.
- Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the Executive Team.
- Establish capitalization requirements and communicate ongoing needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA and/or CPA preferred
- 10+ years in finance/accounting leadership roles with exposure to capital markets, joint ventures, and partnerships
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, tax, internal controls, and financial reporting
- Real estate acquisition, finance, and management experience required; development experience preferred
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in MS Office; Yardi experience preferred
- Exceptional analytical, communication and leadership skills
- Ability to develop complex financial models and strategic forecasts
- In or available to relocate to Tampa Bay and travel some domestically as needed
