One of our Tampa Bay client companies has created this new Controller position given its corporate growth and projected expansion! This new hands-on leader will be responsible for all areas of accounting and finance and leadership of a small team. Heavy interface cross-functionally and with both executive leadership and stakeholders, too, for financial guidance. APPLY NOW!
Controller Benefits and Compensation:

- Target salary $125,000 - $150,000, plus additional bonus
Controller Job Duties:
- Responsible for all aspects of accounting operations
- Implements process improvements, internal controls, and policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP
- Develops budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Leads the month-end close process, prepares monthly financial packages for lenders and Board
- Prepares necessary schedules and reconciliations for annual financial statement audit
- Analyzes financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets and financial covenants; issues regular status reports to senior management, including KPIs
- Supports the integration of acquisitions
- Partners with CFO and leadership to continually evaluate company performance
Controller Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA required
- 10+ years of professional experience required, preferably at the Controller level
- Strong knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel (pivots, VLOOKUPs)
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics a plus
- Experience with a PE-backed company a plus
- Proven hands-on experience leading and enhancing financial controls, developing records systems and managing many small customers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent leadership skills, organizational skills and attention to detail
