Controller Job Duties: 

• Oversee financial operations, including accounting, AP/AR, reporting, compliance, and payroll for a multi-entity organization.
• Lead month-end/year-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis to ensure timely, accurate financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulations, and internal policies, addressing discrepancies proactively.
• Analyze financial data and KPIs, providing insights to guide strategic decisions and operational improvements.
• Implement internal controls and financial policies to boost efficiency, prevent fraud, and reduce risk.
• Oversee tax compliance, filings, and regulatory reporting, while managing relationships with auditors and tax advisors.
• Optimize financial systems and software for improved reporting, efficiency, and data accuracy.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team, promoting growth and financial discipline.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business goals, supporting growth and profitability.
• Improve financial reporting structures to ensure transparency and accuracy for stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to refine financial strategies and ensure compliance.

Controller Skills/Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA certification highly preferred
• 5+ years of professional accounting experience, including leading a small team
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Multi-entity experience required, ideally within a service industry
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax compliance
• Experience large ERP required
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
