Controller
Location: Tampa, FL | 100% in-office
Compensation: $80K–$110K base + discretionary bonus
A great opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader to join a growing, entrepreneurial business and take ownership of all day-to-day accounting activities. Continued growth has created the need for a dedicated Controller who can build scalable processes, ensure accuracy, and support the organization’s next phase of expansion.
This role is ideal for a small-company Controller or full-cycle accounting professional who enjoys working independently, partnering closely with leadership, and owning “soup to nuts” accounting.

What You Will Be Doing
• Own all day-to-day accounting functions and ensure timely, accurate financial data
• Manage cash flow, bank monitoring, and cash forecasting
• Maintain the general ledger, perform reconciliations, and manage full month-end close
• Prepare P&L statements, balance sheets, and financial reporting for ownership
• Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately in the accounting system
• Collaborate with operational and sales teams on cost analysis, margins, floorplan financing, and revenue tied to inventory/VINs
• Manage floor checks, OEM coordination, and reconciliation of related balances
• Support three operating departments through complete month-end cycles
• Identify opportunities to strengthen processes and support scalability
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, accounting policies, and best practices
• Participate in vendor, banking, and external partner communications as needed
What You Will Bring
• Full-cycle accounting experience (required)
• Experience working in a small or growing company environment
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
• Experience with ERP/accounting software required; industry-specific system experience a plus
• Ability to work independently while being part of a close-knit team
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and a proactive mindset
• Excellent communication skills and comfort partnering across departments
• High integrity, reliability, and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Background check and drug test required at offer stage
