Corporate Controller | Up to $190k + Bonus!
Location: Greater Tampa Bay | Hybrid Setting | Local Candidates Only
We’re looking for a high caliber accounting leader to step into a pivotal role within a rapidly growing, modernizing organization. The incoming leader will partner closely with an exceptionally talented team that has recently undergone a significant upgrade. You’ll work side by side with a highly supportive executive who values ownership, precision, and prioritizes professional growth. The company has been in the midst of meaningful process and reporting evolution, creating a platform for impactful change. This role is positioned as the right hand to the Chief Accounting Officer with a clear path to future succession. You will influence the transformation of consolidation, reporting, and operational accounting frameworks. Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial operations and corporate accounting deliverables
- Direct month end close cycle
- Lead preparation and review of internal and external financial reporting
- Oversee consolidation activities
- Provide oversight of manufacturing accounting, including costing and inventory valuation
- Support process redesign initiatives
- Identify and execute improvements in reporting
- Mentor and develop an exceptional team (~10)
- Support technical accounting rigor
- Embrace cross functional collaboration
- Support evaluation and implementation of financial systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. MBA a plus. CPA a must.
- Public accounting experience required (strong preference for Big 4) – open to straight public or a mix of public accounting & industry
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong technical accounting foundation
- Public company exposure (SEC & SOX)
- Process innovation mentality
- Proven leadership skills with a passion for development
- High attention to detail
- Manufacturing/Distribution/Retail exposure preferred
