Position Overview
We are seeking a driven and entrepreneurial finance professional to join our TW Solutions practice as a Director. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in client-facing environments and is passionate about delivering strategic financial consulting services, while leveraging relationship building for business development efforts. The ideal candidate will bring deep operational accounting & finance expertise, a diverse background in multiple industries, systems and ownership structures (e.g., private equity, public company, privately held/founder led businesses). A prior track record in business development, both with new clients and cross-sells within existing clients, is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Client Delivery & Advisory
- Lead and support client engagements across CFO services, including but not limited to: technical accounting matters, M&A transaction support, finance transformation, system selection & implementation support, and audit readiness
- Serve as a trusted advisor, offering strategic insights and hands-on solutions
- Provide white glove service to clients, ensuring that process, approach and deliverables are timely, accurate and value add
- Manage acquisition integration, carve-outs, and financial due diligence processes
- Oversee financial reporting, SOX compliance, and working capital optimization
- Lead, mentor and develop engagement teams
- Develop and optimize existing tools, templates and deliverables to ensure engagement quality needs are met
- Prepare post-engagement case studies
Business Development & Practice Growth
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities across PE-backed, mid-market, and public companies, performing timely follow-up as needed
- Partner with business development team to support bid processes and effectively communicate the TW Solutions value proposition
- Lead proposal development, pitch presentations, and contract negotiations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and referral sources
- Represent Taylor White at industry events, networking functions, and thought leadership forums
- Collaborate with internal leadership to define and execute growth strategies for the TW Solutions practice
Qualifications
- CPA required; MBA preferred
- 15+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles (e.g., Controller, CFO, Consulting Manager)
- Proven success in diverse industry environments
- Demonstrated ability to win and grow client relationships in a consulting or advisory setting
- Expertise in US GAAP, SEC reporting, SOX, and technical accounting
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, Sage Intacct) and system integrations
- Strong executive presence and client-facing communication skills
- Ability to travel, as needed, for client engagements (< 15%)
Preferred Experience
- Background in consulting firms or high-growth companies
- Experience with accounting operations
- Familiarity with valuation models, financial planning, and strategic pricing
