Job Description
Director, Strategic Finance and FP&A | Up to $225k plus bonus!
Location: Tampa, FL (travel required) | Heavily remote | Full-Time
The Director of Strategic Finance and FP&A will play a key leadership role within the organization, reporting directly to the CFO and shaping the company’s financial direction. This individual will lead the end-to-end planning process, including annual budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, strategic support, capex, etc. As a highly visible cross-functional partner, the Director will deliver sharp financial insights to support decision-making across departments and help drive alignment with strategic priorities. In addition, this role will own the creation of impactful, data-driven presentations and reporting materials that translate complex financial data into clear, actionable takeaways for executive leadership, the board, and other stakeholders. This is an outstanding opportunity for a hands-on, results-oriented finance leader to influence the trajectory of a high-growth organization. Responsibilities:
- Oversee core financial planning, analysis, and budgeting functions to support organizational decision-making
- Manage the full annual budgeting cycle and long-term forecasting, including performance tracking and liquidity projections
- Provide financial insight and modeling to support strategic initiatives, resource allocation, and investment decisions
- Maintain and evolve advanced financial models and dashboards in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Drive and deliver reporting packages for use by C-suite, the Board of Directors and equity sponsors
- Improve internal reporting processes to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and clarity of financial data
- Define and monitor key performance indicators to support operational and strategic goals
- Deliver high-impact ad hoc analysis to inform leadership decisions and improve business outcomes
- Support due diligence and financial modeling activities for potential acquisitions
- Contribute to the creation of executive-level presentation materials for senior leadership and board meetings
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (required), MBA preferred
- CPA and public accounting a plus; Strong understanding of core accounting concepts and how that translates to forecasts/models required
- 8+ years’ experience within finance and/or investment banking
- Experience flourishing in a P/E backed environment a plus
- Excellent leadership experience with solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Executive level polish, professionalism, and presentation skills
- Detail-oriented and eager to understand the “why” behind processes
- Someone who takes initiative and thrives in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
