Financial Reporting Manager Job Duties:
- Lead and develop a high-performing financial reporting team, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
- Oversee the preparation and timely submission of financial statements, disclosures, and related documentation.
- Responsible for financial reporting on GAAP and non-GAAP basis, for compliance with debt agreements, reporting to PE sponsors, and more.
- Collaborate with internal teams and business partners ensure adherence with accounting policies and other business requirements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, ensure accuracy, and provide recommendations to decision-makers.
- Facilitate external audits by coordinating processes and addressing inquiries to ensure smooth outcomes.
- Contribute to the monthly close process by reviewing journal entries and reconciliations.
- Support organizational goals by driving special projects, including system implementations and process improvements.
- Research and document complex accounting matters, offering insights and training to team members, and recommendations to leadership.
- Manage compliance and stakeholder reporting, including quarterly and monthly updates for key parties.
- Identify and recommend operational improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to align with organizational objectives.
- Contribute to ad hoc analyses and special projects to support broader organizational initiatives.
Financial Reporting Manager Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- CPA or CPA eligible preferred
- 5+ years of highly relevant experience focused on financial reporting
- Self-motivated and independent worker with excellent knowledge of GAAP
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivots/Vlookups a minimum)
- Large ERP experience required and ability to implement best practices a huge plus
- Solid critical thinking skills and consistent self-review of own work with a high sense of scrutiny
- Strong planning and organization skills and understanding of the importance of deadlines
- Ability to flourish in a high-growth, fast-paced dynamic environment with changing priorities
- Excellent communication skills required
