Internal Audit Manager

One of our top clients is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Internal Audit Manager to join their dynamic team comprised of a stellar team of former Big 4 and 2nd Tier CPA firms. This role will be responsible for overseeing audit and SOP projects across cross-functional areas, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and risk management. Internal Audit Manager Benefits and Compensation:
- A professional and collaborative working environment (heavily hybrid work arrangement, 2 days in the office with travel of 1 week per month maximum)
- Fantastic work-life balance, generally 40 hours per week
- Outstanding benefits, including robust PTO, and 401k plan
- Highly competitive compensation of $110,000 - $125,000 (commensurate with experience), plus 20% bonus
Internal Audit Manager Job Duties:
- Plan, lead, and report on audits and a variety of value-add projects in a multi-industry setting at both Corporate and Business Unit levels.
- Develop a risk-based approach to audit projects that are operational and strategic in nature, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Review and oversee audit programs and project plans, maintaining full accountability for the lifecycle of audit projects.
- Collaborate in a dynamic team environment to deliver high-quality reviews, leveraging collective knowledge and experience.
- Execute value-add projects such as due diligence for acquisitions/dispositions, finance integration/separation support, operational/process reviews, interim business finance leadership, and ad-hoc projects as required.
- Coach, develop, and manage team members to foster engagement, enhance capabilities, and expand the team’s capacity for executing well-planned, risk-based audits and bespoke engagements.
- Demonstrate strong change agility and adapt to evolving business needs and priorities.
- Effectively communicate, both written and verbal, with key stakeholders.
- Operate as part of a small, results-oriented corporate team, requiring collaboration, analytical thinking, and effective decision-making.
Internal Audit Manager Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, CPA or CIA required.
- 4-6 years of experience in public accounting, with exposure in operational and financial audits.
- Supervisory experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex findings clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in audit software and data analytics tools such as Excel, ACL, or Tableau, ideal.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with a customer service mindset.
