Project Accountant
Are you a detail-oriented, proactive accountant with a passion for managing complex projects? We’re seeking a skilled Project Accountant to take charge of the financial aspects of exciting, high-impact customer projects. This role is all about making an impact — from billing and revenue recognition to job cost analysis and forecasting, you'll be at the heart of project financials. You'll partner with project teams to ensure smooth financial execution, while supporting a growing and dynamic organization. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, providing insights that drive profitability and project success. Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with internal teams to regularly review and update project financial plans
- Ensure precise entry of financial documents and adjustments into the relevant systems
- Aid in the preparation and analysis of billing cycles for various projects
- Support the forecasting and tracking of revenue and profitability for assigned projects
- Contribute to monthly financial reviews for individual projects
- Collaborate with internal teams to assess and monitor project financial performance
- Generate customized financial reports for stakeholders as needed
- Track and analyze costs, billing, and revenue associated with assigned projects
- Investigate discrepancies in financial data and work with teams to resolve any issues
- Assist with the preparation of journal entries for accruals and other related financial activities
- Participate in month-end and year-end financial closing tasks
- Take on additional financial duties as required
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree preferred
- 1+ years professional experience with exposure to complex, multi-entity environments.
- Comfort with fast-paced, ever-evolving environments
- Able to manage remote work dynamics and proficient in maintaining strong communication across teams
- Strong Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate large data sets and synthesize information into actionable insights
- Experience with a large ERP accounting software required
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- A proactive, customer-focused mindset with an eagerness to collaborate across teams
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a constantly evolving environment
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000

Work Environment:
This is a remote position, but occasional in-person collaboration will be expected. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of thriving in remote work settings while maintaining strong teamwork and communication.
