Senior Accountant Benefits and Compensation:

• Office is located in Tampa, and the team works a hybrid model where they are in the office 2-3 days per week or as needed

Senior Accountant Job Duties:  

• Perform month-end close responsibilities
• Track expenses and investigate variances to identify and determine proper accruals 
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve outstanding items
• Partner with department heads to understand transactions to proactively ensure proper accounting treatment 
• Become subject matter expert for assigned area
• Identify opportunities for automation and streamlining and improved financial reporting 
• Assist with drafting disclosures and preparing supporting documentation for external filings 
• Provide support and assistance to external and internal auditors for your area of expertise 
• Review the work of lighter team members and provide coaching and development to staff 

Senior Accountant Skills/Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required; Masters degree preferred
• Active CPA required.
• 2+ years of professional accounting experience 
• Audit experience with a public accounting firm is preferred
• Corporate accounting experience with large public companies is a plus 
• A strong foundation of GAAP knowledge and the ability to apply it to new accounting issues 
• Interest in developing deeper subject matter expertise in specific accounting and reporting areas 
• Team player, collaborative personality, and innovator! 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quality decisions with a sense of urgency
