Senior Accountant
Job Description
If you are an accounting professional with hands-on experience who enjoys both analytics and people, we want to speak with you! Our client is looking for a strong critical thinker who is curious, creative, and proactive to support their continued growth. This Senior Accountant will be involved in all areas of general accounting and be provided some great growth opportunities!
Senior Accountant Benefits and Compensation:

- Highly competitive compensation of $85,000 - $93,000, plus annual bonus
Senior Accountant Job Duties:
- Reconcile and analyze data to ensure timely completion and accuracy of key financial information
- Preparation of monthly journal entries
- Reconcile and review monthly balance sheet activity
- Build financial models to evaluate business results
- Assist with the completion and review of monthly P&L
- Provide feedback and suggestions for operational process improvements
- Prepare and update expense budgets on an annual basis
- Analyze budget versus actual performance and provide written commentary
- Research and recommend proper GAAP treatment for more complicated issues that may arise
- Perform other duties as assigned
Senior Accountant Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
- CPA or MBA preferred but not required
- 3+ years of accounting experience; prefer at least one year of public accounting experience
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
- Excellent Excel experience including with complex issues
- Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and work within tight deadlines
- Superb attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent communications skills
