Senior Accountant
Job Description
Senior Accountant | $75K–$80K + 5% Bonus
Location: Lakeland, FL (hybrid) | Full-Time
A privately held, billion-dollar company is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join its Accounting & Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a rising accounting professional who is ready to roll up their sleeves and grow within a stable, family-owned organization. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and eager to take on increasing responsibility in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Successful completion of background, drug, and reference checks required.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned business units and departments
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and revenue/expense account analyses
• Analyze financial results using both standard and ad hoc reporting tools
• Support the annual budgeting process and year-end audit
• Assist in developing financial performance metrics and reporting tools
• Act as a liaison between Accounting and field operations
• Coordinate fixed asset entries and reporting
• Lead and support special projects as assigned
• Occasional travel to remote locations may be required
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 4+ years of general ledger accounting experience, including month-end close
• Strong Excel skills and experience with large ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics a plus)
• Industry experience required (public accounting and CPA not required)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Stable work history with minimal employment gaps
