Senior Accountant
Job Description
Senior Accountant (Manufacturing & Cost Accounting) | $85K–$105K + Discretionary Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Location: Largo, FL (Fully On-Site with Flexible Hours) | Full-Time
A fast-growing, private equity-backed manufacturer of health and wellness products is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its collaborative finance team. This is a high-impact role supporting both Finance and Operations, with direct exposure to leadership and the opportunity to help shape accounting processes during a time of exciting transformation.
This position is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented accounting professional with manufacturing and cost accounting experience who thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment. The company is scaling rapidly and values individuals who bring a growth mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and management reports
• Lead monthly reporting to the parent company, including variance analysis and commentary
• Support the development and refinement of accounting policies and procedures
• Analyze inventory and partner with Sales & Operations to manage excess or obsolete stock
• Manage AR aging and ensure timely collections
• Oversee accruals, bank reconciliations, and treasury functions
• Track and report on capital assets, including spend, timing, and project cash flow
• Support fixed asset reporting and maintain accurate asset records
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and special projects
• Collaborate with the Controller and cross-functional teams to drive process improvements
• Provide guidance to junior accounting staff as needed
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles
• Experience with ERP systems (Sage preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Local to the Tampa Bay area (no relocation offered)
• CPA or public accounting background is a plus
• Experience in high-growth or change-driven environments is highly valued
