Senior Accountant
Location: Tampa, FL | In-Office | Full-Time | Direct Hire
Compensation: Competitive Base + Bonus
Join a growing organization as a Senior Accountant reporting directly to the Accounting leader. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands accounting principles, can analyze financial transactions, and enjoys improving processes for greater efficiency. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across multiple departments and support both Operations and Executives with accurate reporting and insights.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for multiple locations
- Prepare journal entries and maintain detailed supporting documentation
- Develop a strong understanding of revenue/AR calculations
- Integrate accounting operations for newly acquired locations
- Perform reconciliations across multiple accounts and entities
- Research US GAAP, analyze GL activity, and provide clear, data-backed answers
- Conduct variance analysis and explain results to leadership
- Maintain audit-ready workpapers
- Drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency enhancements
- Partner with multiple departments and locations to communicate results and policies
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and support special projects as needed
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a multi-site environment
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets
- NetSuite experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Solid understanding of US GAAP with ability to research technical topics
- Experience communicating across diverse teams and levels
- Ability to adapt quickly, manage multiple priorities, and stay organized
