Senior Accountant | Salary range $85k-100k + Bonus Potential | Rapidly Expanding Organization!

You’ll translate evolving accounting standards into practical guidance that strengthens decision making across the organization. This role is responsible for digging into complex transactions and acquisitive activities, shaping policies and documentation that keep the business future ready. You’ll collaborate across teams as new entities are integrated, ensuring smooth transitions and consistent practices. You’ll contribute to a disciplined month end close and support the external audit with well prepared analyses. You’ll mentor and guide a small team, helping elevate the function’s capabilities. You’ll also play a meaningful part in IPO readiness efforts that enhance the company’s long term trajectory. Successful completion of background, drug and reference checks required!

Responsibilities:

• Maintain up to date knowledge of accounting standards and evaluate their impact on the business.
• Prepare technical accounting analyses and update related policies, providing training on new guidance as needed.
• Lead purchase accounting and support integration efforts by aligning processes with cross functional teams.
• Assess and document accounting conclusions for complex or unusual transactions.
• Strengthen internal controls, improve core accounting processes, and contribute to IPO readiness.
• Support month end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage requests for documentation and analysis.
• Mentor and develop team members while overseeing workload priorities for direct reports.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is needed.
• CPA license or actively pursuing required.
• 3+ years of professional accounting experience; including public accounting and/or large complex organization.
• Strong GAAP knowledge with experience in technical research and documentation, including exposure to ASC 606 and ASC 805.
• Ability to execute month end close activities and produce accurate supporting schedules.
• Strong analytical thinking and an auditor style approach to problem solving.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with standard office productivity tools.
• Clear communication skills, strong organization, and attention to detail.
