Compensation:$70,000-$80,000

Top Candidate Qualities
- Have 4+ years of solid accounting experience
- Possess a Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
- Can confidently own financial statements, journal entries, and month end and year end close
- Have nonprofit or fund accounting experience
- Have experience training or mentoring others
- Bring experience with systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, Blackbaud, Sage Intacct, or NetSuite
- Thrive in a mission driven, community oriented organization
- Are reliable, detail focused, and committed to accuracy
- Enjoy collaborating and supporting the team beyond core duties
What You Will Do
- Prepare and review GAAP compliant financial statements
- Manage the general ledger, reconciliations, and fund accounting
- Lead month end and year end close
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Monitor grants, restricted funds, and activity
- Prepare documentation for audits and compliance
- Assist with tax filings, including Form 990
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
- Implement process improvements and strengthen internal controls
- Collaborate with cross functional teams
- Mentor junior accounting staff
