Senior Accountant| Greater Tampa Bay area | Compensation: Up to $85,000

The role requires strong technical accounting skills, balanced with the ability to communicate effectively across departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close tasks, including preparation and analysis of key accounting entries and reconciliations
• Coordinate divisional reporting deadlines and prepare supporting schedules with clear variance commentary
• Evaluate monthly operating performance and provide leadership with concise financial insights
• Enhance and maintain accounting policies, workflows, and internal control practices
• Conduct inventory reviews and collaborate with operational teams to address excess or aging items
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and assist with audit documentation
• Monitor receivables, support timely collections, and resolve billing or customer issues
• Prepare and review accruals to support an accurate and efficient close cycle
• Oversee cash related routines such as bank reconciliations and daily cash activity tracking
• Manage fixed asset accounting, including project coordination, capitalization, and depreciation review
• Provide financial oversight for unique agreements and communicate updates to leadership
• Support the Controller with team coaching, workload review, and departmental priorities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing exposure preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Advanced Excel proficiency and strong analytical capability
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy and timeliness
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working cross functionally
• High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
• Ability to adapt within a fast moving and evolving business environment
