Senior Accounting Manager Job Duties: 

• Oversee and manage the end-to-end accounting processes ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for leadership
• Implement and maintain robust inventory control procedures, overseeing counts, reconciliations, and adjustments as needed
• Identify process improvement opportunities and successfully implement them  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate financial processes seamlessly with operations
• Conduct regular audits of transactions to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
• Analyze and interpret data, providing insights into trends, variances, and potential areas for process improvement
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating favorable terms and resolving financial discrepancies related to distribution contracts
• Support the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
• Monitor and control costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement
• Mentor and guide a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement and optimize ERP systems for effective inventory-related financial management
• Implement and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain the integrity of financial data

Senior Accounting Manager Skills/Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; CPA highly preferred
• 6+ years of accounting experience required, ideally with public accounting exposure
• Exposure to a large ERP system, including the inventory module (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle)
• Prior acquisition integration experience a plus!
• Proficient in directing and guiding others towards objectives
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
• Solid critical thinking and analysis and attention to detail
