Location: Tampa, FL | Hybrid | Full-Time | Direct Hire
Ready to lead a high-performing finance organization? We’re seeking a visionary Senior Director of Accounting to set and execute the strategic direction for a team managing a $4.3 billion balance sheet across 12 legal entities. This role combines technical accounting expertise with strategic leadership, overseeing critical functions such as General Accounting, Tax, Cost, Marketing, Contract Accounting, Financial Systems, and Finance Master Data.

What You’ll Do
- Develop and communicate a compelling vision and strategy for the Accounting team.
- Provide expert accounting oversight across multiple functions, ensuring compliance and integrity.
- Serve as a trusted financial advisor to internal stakeholders.
- Champion and execute strategic initiatives to drive efficiency and leverage best practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with executive stakeholders, BPO partners, and vendors.
- Oversee and manage a team of 90+ professionals, fostering engagement and talent development.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree and/or CPA preferred
- 15++ years of progressive finance and accounting experience
- Big 4 or large national public accounting audit or assurance experience in conjunction with corporate accounting experience preferred
- Deep technical accounting knowledge and strategic leadership capabilities
- Proven success in talent development, succession planning, and change management
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to influence at the executive level
- Expertise in process improvement and customer-focused relationship building
- Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and occasionally internationally
