Senior Manager – Corporate Accounting & Technical Reporting
Location: On-site
Compensation: Up to $175K + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision, 401K with match, PTO)
We’re partnering with a global manufacturing leader on a confidential search for a Senior Manager to join their corporate accounting team. This influential role will drive technical accounting initiatives, support external financial reporting, and act as a strategic advisor across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and corporate close processes, along with strong leadership and communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate accounting for complex transactions under U.S. GAAP, including derivatives, pensions, stock compensation, goodwill, debt/equity, and business combinations.
- Perform technical accounting research and collaborate with global teams to resolve issues.
- Stay current on evolving accounting standards and lead implementation efforts.
- Strengthen internal controls related to accounting policies and new guidance.
- Manage monthly and quarterly close processes for corporate entities and global consolidation.
- Maintain compliance with SOX and internal control frameworks.
- Contribute to the preparation and review of external financial disclosures, including earnings releases, 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and other SEC filings.
- Enhance reporting processes and controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide accounting insights to business units and senior leadership on strategic initiatives.
- Serve as a primary liaison for internal and external auditors during reviews and audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required); CPA strongly preferred.
- 7+ years of experience, including public accounting (Big 4 experience highly regarded).
- Robust technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with SEC reporting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Minimal travel required.
