We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant for a newly created position with a growing company based in the Sarasota area! This is a private-equity owned company in the service industry and this position is being created due to growth. Responsibilities will include month end close, account reconciliations, variance analysis, support for AP and AR, financial statement preparation, and process improvements. Staff Accountant Benefits and Compensation:
- Highly competitive compensation of $55,000 - $70,000 (to be based on level of experience)

Staff Accountant Job Duties:
- Assist with month end close functions, including calculating accruals and posting journal entries
- Prepare financial statements, and perform light financial analysis
- Prepare monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations
- Assist with the integration of newly acquired entities, including systems and accounting processes
- Provide support for the external audit, including preparing audit deliverables and supporting schedules
- Special projects, as assigned
Staff Accountant Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 2+ years of professional accounting experience
- Strong core accounting experience and GAAP knowledge
- Advanced Excel skills required, including pivots and lookups
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required
- Superb attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent communications skills required
