Staff Accountant | Up to $60k | Rapidly Expanding Organization!
Location: Greater Tampa Bay | Heavily Remote | Local Candidates Only

Responsibilities:
- Accurately record incoming payments across multiple entities.
- Match deposits to supporting documentation and ensure timely posting.
- Maintain and reconcile premium-related accounts for high-volume transactions.
- Process commission payments and verify accuracy before disbursement.
- Prepare and review return premium and commission adjustments.
- Assist with monthly premium recognition and related journal entries.
- Support carrier payment processing and confirm compliance with timelines.
- Organize and maintain backup documentation for all transactions.
- Research and resolve discrepancies in premium and commission accounts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address accounting inquiries promptly.
- Contribute to month-end close activities, including reconciliations.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required!
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, large datasets).
- Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close required
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator with strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
