We are seeking a capable Staff Accountant who brings strong accounting fundamentals and the maturity to interact professionally with stakeholders regarding billing matters. Responsibilities:

• Complete journal entries and monthly closing tasks.
• Maintain supporting schedules for key financial accounts.
• Perform bank reconciliations and related account reviews.
• Oversee the full billing cycle with accuracy and clarity.
• Record and apply cash activity to the appropriate accounts.
• Communicate with families to resolve billing and payment questions.
• Keep financial records organized, current, and ready for review.
• Analyze account activity and identify needed adjustments.
• Work closely with team members to enhance workflow efficiency.
• Assist with special projects and reporting needs as they arise.
• Uphold confidentiality and maintain strong internal controls.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands on accounting experience.
• Ability to learn new systems and processes without needing instruction in basic accounting concepts.
• Professional communication skills and maturity when working with stakeholders on financial matters.
• Strong Excel skills including lookups and pivot tables.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
• Ability to successfully complete all required background and security checks.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn nuances of the operation.
• Clear, organized approach to handling sensitive financial information.
