VP Sales & Marketing – Global Technology Products and Services

A boutique global technology products and services provider is seeking a Vice President to oversee the global Sales and Marketing functions.  This executive level position will be responsible for driving the firm’s growth, brand and customer experience.  In addition, s/he will develop the new sales and marketing strategies worldwide in collaboration with country/region sales and marketing teams to take the firm to the next level.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop global and regional sales and marketing strategies and programs, collaborating closely with each Region’s sales leadership and marketing teams and executive leadership
  • Review each Region’s metrics and goals and organization structures and recommend changes for more effective attainment of targets and in collaboration with leadership, propose goals for upcoming year(s), gain executive and Region buy-in and roll out
  • Collaborating closely with marketing and other teams in US and other Regions, review current brand and marketing strategies and programs across all media, propose recommendations, gain executive and leadership buy-in across regions and roll out
  • Collaborating closely with Region leaders, develop plans for opening new markets and launching new products and services across commercial, public sector and academic markets, and gain executive buy-in and roll out
  • Oversee marketing organization(s) and dotted line responsibility for sales organizations
  • Develop and improve training, policies, processes and procedures for sales and marketing to achieve goals and improve communications and collaboration across teams and organizations and Regions
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, conferences and related events to promote brand awareness and sales and marketing initiatives across Regions
  • Develop and meet sales financial objectives
  • Working closely with marketing, sales, education, communications and PR teams, create and execute global marketing campaigns and promotions across Regions
  • Develop and monitor benchmarks to measure and ensure success of various programs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications required, MBA preferred
  • 15+ years relevant experience with new products and/or services launch experience, including technology, preferred
  • Sales leadership experience required, preferably prior experience with achieving organization sales goals of $200+ million
  • Experience leading sales and marketing organization(s)
  • Proven prior sales experience in B2B and/or B2C space including commercial, public sector and/or higher education client base
  • Prior experience developing and leading global marketing strategy to promote brand, image and global presence
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, public relations and communications skills and proven ability to work across departments and organizations within a global firm, and to successfully communicate at all levels of an organization up to C-levels and Board
  • Polished professional with ability to present to customers and prospects and conferences or tradeshows as well as to internal customers and C-Levels and Board
  • Proven ability to achieve financial goals and targets as established in collaboration with leadership and team(s)
  • Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office and Salesforce
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including to North America, Latin America, Europe & UK/EMEA and Asia-Pacific
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays if needed
  • Ability to work in an office environment and use multiple computer monitors and sit for extended periods;
  • Ability to spend approx. 2-3 days onsite in the office, on average and/or as needed
