This executive role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, partnering closely with operations, sales, and supply functions to drive accuracy, speed, and actionable insight.
What You’ll Do
- Direct accounting operations across multiple entities with rigorous GAAP compliance.
- Own daily cash positioning, liquidity planning, and credit facility utilization within policy limits.
- Lead and develop AP, AR/Credit, and General Accounting teams; set goals and coach performance.
- Embed a service-focused partnership model with Operations, Sales, and Procurement.
- Design, document, and monitor internal controls; remediate gaps and enforce policy adherence.
- Drive process standardization and automation to improve speed, accuracy, and control.
- Govern chart of accounts, close calendar, and the integrity of the general ledger and subledgers.
- Deliver timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with variance analysis.
- Prepare lender and management reporting packages, including covenant/collateral reporting.
- Review account reconciliations and key analytics to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Champion enterprise financial system enablement and data quality through implementation/optimization.
- Coordinate external reviews/audits and act as primary liaison with auditors and financial partners.
What You’ll Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA preferred.
- Experience: 8+ years of progressive accounting experience; 5+ years leading teams with increasing scope; senior-level ownership supporting multiple entities.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, multi-entity accounting, and close governance.
- Experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment a major plus.
- Demonstrated success building, developing, and retaining high-performing accounting teams.
- Proven cash, liquidity, and credit facility management experience.
- Strong internal control design, risk mitigation, and policy enforcement background.
- M&A exposure (acquisition integration, financial readiness, control alignment) a plus.
- Partnership mindset with Operations, Sales, and Procurement to drive business results.
- Familiarity with product- and project-driven environments (manufacturing/distribution/project work a plus).
- High attention to detail paired with strategic, big picture thinking and uncompromising ethics.
- Proficiency with mid-market/enterprise financial systems and data integrity best practices.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Make an enterprise-wide impact: Lead the finance backbone for a multi-entity portfolio.
- Shape the roadmap: Modernize close, controls, reporting, and systems for scale.
- Grow leaders: Build a cohesive team with clear goals, coaching, and career paths.
